DC Press introduces an interactive forum open to academicians, consultants, and practitioners. As most journals take months to submit articles for review, the goal of DC Press (the host of The Journal of Modern Business) is to provide a vehicle to communicate research findings, theories, and directions for future research in a timely fashion. Topic areas are only limited by the quality of research/theory�.in other words, The Journal of Modern Business welcomes an array of business related topics, with the emphasis on quality articles communicated in a professional, well-researched manner.

Additionally DC Press offers an innovate platform to communicate with authors. Every article submitted for review to The Journal of Modern Business will be posted by the Editor for members to review, post comments on, and provide constructive feedback to authors. This �peer reviewed� process provides diverse feedback and direction for authors that may not be provided by other journals.

DC Press also hosts an area to post book reviews. Interested parties can submit a book review (see submission guidelines) that will be posted on DC Press for review and comments. Similar to the feedback process for journal article submissions, members can login and post comments on book reviews and become instantly linked to seller websites.

Welfare Reform Policy: Two-Year Economic Impact on TANF Recipients

Substance use and poor psychological functioning are of major concern for many welfare recipients. Yet, welfare reform policies mandate that recipients find a job regardless of predisposing or enabling conditions. This paper utilizes a three-wave cross-lagged panel design to analyze the relationship regarding substance use, psychological functioning, and economic growth in a sample of TANF recipients as they transition from welfare to work.
